The Seasons are Changing...

The seasons are changing and fall is in the air. If you’re anything like me, you love fall and can’t wait for all the things that come with it- leaves changing colors, football season, flannel, my birthday, pumpkin spice and so much more! But with the changing of seasons comes other changes as well… kids going back to school, switching out your summer clothes for sweaters and boots, maybe putting up some new fall décor, etc. And sometimes, those things can be stressful, but they don’t have to be.

Here are a few tips for making the transition from summer to fall as smooth and seamless as possible...

  • Try not to buy any new décor until you get your old stuff out. It’s likely you’ve forgotten what all you have, since it’s been a year. This will help ensure you don’t end up with multiples of the same things (granted, you can never have enough pumpkin candles, in my opinion :)

  • As you’re starting to pack away your summer clothes, purge BEFORE you pack them all up. One easy way to get rid of what you can- ask yourself, did you wear it this season? If not, then it’s likely you won’t wear it next season either, so… it’s time to go! The same rules apply as you're getting your fall clothes out. Did you wear it last fall? If not, don't even bother hanging it up.

  • The start of a new season is also the perfect time to check in on some of your goals for the year. It may feel like the end of the year is quickly approaching, but there are still 4 months left. That's plenty of time to rewrite your goals, refocus, and crush them!

Don't let the start of a new season, and all the things that come with it, stress you out. As with the beginning of anything new, it's the perfect time to reset. So embrace the crisp air in the mornings, have fun re-decorating your house, throw out that old bikini once and for all, and set one new goal for the end of the year. It's going to be a great fall and a great end to 2021!
