Here are two easy ways to help organize your closet and make your life easier.
Hangers
You don't have to over complicate it. One of the easiest ways to add a little cohesiveness to your closet is buying matching hangers for everything. The Container Store is a great place to buy matching hangers in bulk. You can also find great and affordable options at Home Goods, or similar stores. You will find once you have all matching hangers (no more wire hangers leftover from the dry cleaners), the clothes will hang in a much more organized fashion.
Color Coding Your Closet
The second fairly easy thing to do is color code your closet. Start with your shirts that are hanging. Then move on to pants, skirts, bottoms, etc. Color code each category of clothing.
Just remember that when you go to hang your clothes back up, to continue to do so by both category and color. Once you get into the habit of doing this, you'll feel much more serene whenever you have to look in your closet and find something to wear!
Between matching hangers and color coding your clothes, you are already taking steps to having a much more organized and aesthetically pleasing closet!
